It all began during a trip to Las Palmas, Gran Canaria. From the taxi window, I watched the towering buildings rise like silent guardians of the city. Each window was a frame of light or shadow — a story unseen, a hidden world behind the glass.
I found myself wondering: Who lives there? What dreams, secrets and memories exist behind each half-drawn curtain?
That question became the foundation of this project.
Edificio Espejismos is a collection of stories contained within small windows — an imaginary building where every floor, every home, has its own voice. Short poetic narratives reveal how life unfolds in quiet details: a silent breakfast, a child’s laughter, a solitary midnight dance.
Each window becomes a reflection of who we are, who we imagine ourselves to be, and who we might become. Because what we see from the outside is never the full truth.
Step inside this building. Discover its secrets.
